My 2 and a half year old GPS was starting too look a little tatty, the velcro on the strap was going, there were scratches and dropplets appearing inside the water proof case.
Now lets be fair this GPS is has had a rugged existance. Its a wrist watch type waterproof job. Its survived 2 oceans, and a lot of dinghy races. When I say races I'm talkin RS 600 not a wendy house and a bracing moors walk. I mean full on pitch poles, bruises and a monday morning limp.
Garmin unlike most companies who leave you annoyed frutsrated and ranting (Vodafail and NT Bloody L t quote my 2 most hated at present) Garmin are wodnerfull. Despite my warentee haveing warn off When Norhtern Rock still looked like a sound investment they said they "Repair" them ata flat fee of £43. And they explained that repair means they send you a new one, with a years warrentee.
Not Bloody Bad! £43 for a new GPS.
Well done Garmin - I would recomend them and the Fortrex GPS's thouraghly. Their great!
