Episode 1 Locations and Credits

Scene 1 - Snowy Slide Show

Shot be Me at or on the way to Gatwick Air port. Over 2 days since my flight didn't go. Location: Sussex

Scene Two - Intro

Shot by Steve off Island Kea, not actually on this trip at all, but it was the only relevant shot of me doing sailing things I could find. Location: ARC 07, on approach to St Lucia on the 18th day of the Atlantic crossing.

Scene Three - Orange Dog

Shot by me whilst staying with Caroline and Egor on SV "Conche Pearl" waiting for Steve and Katrin, and the new mast. Stars Lieka as the Orange dog and Caroline as Water Taxi driver. Walk on by Egor. Location: English Harbour, Antigua.

Scene Four - Mast Montage

Due to a virus on my camera (running IT support for Caroline and Egor) card camera reset to defaults I.E. a resolution of 320X280. Grrrrr. Hence the 4 cam view of Antigua Rigging putting the mast back in. Some sections run at double speed for effect. Location: Falmouth Harbour Antigua

Scene Five - Testing the Mast.

This is a montage of video originally used in a blog post "Volume up, tone down low, rubbish on the radio" a reference to the lyrics of carter USM. May have violated some girl scouts. This introduces the first use of my "Indian Jones animated map thingy". Location: the Caribbean Sea.

Scene Six - Ditch Crawling

Shot in transit through the panama canal by me, the animated webcam images are off the Webcam on Mirraflorres locks. A big thank you to Kieran, who's server I bastardised to automatically grab hundreds of images off all the cams as we went through. In shot is a Jeneau being delivered to Australia by a John and Wally. May be Isle de Grace, and Ludmilla as well. You might notice Katrin's feet moving a bit quick, the lock gates are slow, I speeded them up. Location: Panama Canal

Scene Seven - Doldrums

This is a booby (a brown one) sat on island Kea's rail as we sailed out of the Gulf of Panama, me board on watch, this contians the MK 2 Indiana Jones style rolling map thingy. By me, graphics (good arent they) by me. Location: Gulf of Panama.

Scene Eight - Puerto Ayora

Arrival at Puerto Ayora, great island shit anchorage. Boat looking worried about her anchor in the forground is Lucy Alice, the motoring yacht is a, very relieved, Camomile when your mast's held up by a string and prayer arrival is particularly pleasant.

Scene Nine - Galapagos Montage.

Always finish on a montage..... Shots of the Darwin Research Station giant tortoises, and more in the highlands of Floreana, the Cliffs and under water shots are on Floreana. The heron in the Fishmarket is in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz.

Satanic BBC test card, has become my logo, originally made for b3ta.
